At The Bog in Christchurch, we offer versatile options for parties and functions. Whether it’s a milestone birthday, anniversary, engagement party, corporate event, or Christmas party, The Bog has you covered as the premier function venue in Christchurch! There is no venue hire fee, instead we require a minimum spend, tailored to your group size, preferred time, and date.
Our Irish food offerings won’t let you down, from our set menus, platters and canapés alongside an extensive drinks list in a budget to suit your needs.

Our Spaces
Booths
The booths section of The Bog comfortably fits 35-40 people for standing events. This area, at the rear of The Bog, boasts 4 comfortable booth/bench seating areas and leaners. Although this is not exclusive, we will rope the space off to ensure it is yours only
Stage Front
For larger groups, we can accommodate groups of 110 standing, or 70 seated for functions in the front of The Bog. This is a great space for hosting a large dinner, or cocktail style events. The stage
has everything needed for presentations or award ceremonies with a large screen TV and microphones. Also make the most of our free live music most nights of the week. Stage Front will require a minimum spend. This spend will vary depending on booking requirements, your Events Manager will information.
Exclusivity
The Bog can be made exclusive for functions of 200-250 people. This would provide you with full use of The Bog: the full bar, outdoor area, the stage and all AV equipment. Depending on booking requirements and the time of the year, exclusivity will require a minimum spend
